INFORMATION: Louis Nucéra was a French writer, journalist, and columnist from Nice. Winner of the Prix Interallié in 1981 for *Le Ruban rouge*, he was also awarded the Grand Prix de littérature by the Académie française for his entire body of work. His writing—at once tender, accessible, and poetic—pays homage to the Mediterranean, to memory, and to the humble lives of ordinary people. A passionate cyclist and music lover, he remains an endearing voice in 20th-century French literature.
