A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thereby creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Christian Sainsaulieu was a French sociologist specializing in organizations and work. A research director at the CNRS and a professor at Sciences Po Paris, he was one of the pioneers of organizational sociology in France. Author of major works such as *L’identité au travail* (1977) and *Sociologie de l’organisation et de l’entreprise* (1990), he helped revitalize the analysis of workplace relations and collective dynamics within organizations.
