A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Roger Vrigny was a French writer, playwright, and radio personality. Winner of the 1963 Prix Femina for *La Nuit de Mougins*, he was also a producer at France Culture, where he hosted the literary program *Les Nuits magnétiques* for nearly twenty years. His work, understated yet profound, explores the themes of solitude, memory, and the inner quest.
