Kran Gagon mask, Côte d'Ivoire / Liberia, very old, rare and spectacular, anthropo-zoomorphic, representing a stylized face, the forehead overhanging the mouth, small pierced eyes with arched eyelids. A long, wide nose, shaped like a beak, joins the mouth and forms a single, crusty patina at the top. This very cubic mask occupies the space, reinforcing its role of surveillance and justice within the village. Hardwood with very beautiful thick patina - Height 33 cm. Private French collection
