Jean STEVAN (Brussels, 1896-1962) - Lot 115

Welcome to this exceptional sale of modern and contemporary paintings, organized by Trianon Enchères in partnership with Interenchères. On November 16 at 2:00 pm, plunge into a century of artistic creation, from 1850 to 1950, and discover a unique range of figurative painting. From the Barbizon School to Orientalist trends, realism and hyperrealism, this sale invites you on an intense artistic journey.

Among the featured works, let yourself be transported from the Breton coast to the West Indies via the Mediterranean aboard the three-masted ships of Pierre-Émile de Crisenoy, painter to the French Navy, and admire the quays of Lyon's Rhône and Saône rivers through the poetic eyes of his watercolorists. This collection of watercolor paintings testifies to the richness of figuration in art, transcending realism to capture and sublimate the soul of the landscapes and characters who populated this teeming century.

Exhibitions at our offices on November 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
