A pair of Attié statues, their arms raised and holding a rec - Lot 83
A pair of Attié statues, their arms raised and holding a rectangular form on their heads. The volumes are clearly visible, with the breasts projected forward and the man's stature straight and calves well muscled. The feet are oversized for both. Beautiful, soft white patina typical of objects close to Ghana. The nails are made of wood, some of them copper. The faces are fine, and the statuettes have retained belts and necklaces made of white and red glass beads. Côte d'Ivoire, both 27 cm high. - Private French collection.
