A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Julien Bertheau was a French actor and director, a member of the Comédie-Française. He performed major roles from the classical repertoire (Molière, Corneille, Racine) before collaborating in film with directors such as Luis Buñuel (*The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie*, *Belle de Jour*). His career combined theatrical rigor with a modern style of expression, making him a prominent figure in 20th-century French theater.
