A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thereby creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Yvonne Chauffin was a French novelist, literary critic, and essayist. Winner of the Grand Prix Catholique de Littérature in 1956, she published numerous novels and essays marked by profound spiritual and moral reflection. A regular contributor to Christian journals, she was also a member of the jury for the Prix Femina. Her work is distinguished by a sophisticated style, a humanistic faith, and an exploration of the inner dilemmas of modern man.
