A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the celebrities he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Francis Claude was a French actor, screenwriter, lyricist, and artistic director. He ran the cabaret “Milord l’Arsouille” in Paris—where Serge Gainsbourg and Jacques Brel, among others, performed—and portrayed King Henry IV on screen on several occasions.
