A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the celebrities he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Philippe Clay was a French mime artist, singer, and actor. He notably sang “La Complainte des Apaches” (the theme song for the TV series *Les Brigades du Tigre*) and appeared in Jean Renoir’s film *French Cancan* (1955).
