PROVENANCE: This drawing comes from the personal collection of Pierre Lhoste. A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews.
INFORMATION: Michel d’Ornano was a French industrialist and politician. A member of the National Assembly representing Calvados and mayor of Deauville, he served as Minister of Industry, Minister of Culture, and then Minister of the Environment between 1974 and 1981. He was close to Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.
Very good condition; edges of the page are slightly damaged and yellowed.
