A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: André Dhôtel was a French writer and poet. His work, imbued with poetic realism and mystery, explores the themes of wandering and the inner quest. He received the Prix Femina in 1955 for *Le Pays où l’on n’arrive jamais* (*The Land We Never Reach*), which has become a classic of French literature.
