A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Armand Gatti was a French playwright, poet, filmmaker, and journalist. He was a member of the Resistance during World War II, was deported, and later embarked on a prolific career spanning theater, film, poetry, and social criticism.
