A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Reginald Hibbert was a British diplomat. An officer during World War II, he later joined the Foreign Office. He served as the United Kingdom’s ambassador to France from 1979 to 1982, a period marked by Franco-British cooperation on European affairs and defense. He authored several historical works on diplomacy and the resistance in Albania.
