Émile LANGLOIS (20th century) The Tree, circa 1983 Original ink drawing Signed in ink On paper, 24 x 15.5 cm PROVENANCE: This drawing comes from the personal collection of Pierre Lhoste. A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thereby creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Émile Langlois was a French writer. He is best known as the author of *Langlois, known as “Émile le Normand, compagnon du devoir”* (Flammarion, 1983). Very good condition; edges of the page are slightly damaged and yellowed.
