A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Edmond Lanier was a senior French civil servant and prefect. Prefect of several departments in the 1950s and 1960s, he was also known for his commitment to modernizing the postwar prefectural administration. His name frequently appears in the archives of the Republic as that of a rigorous and respected public servant. Very good condition; edges of the page are slightly damaged and yellowed.
