A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thereby creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Lucien Neuwirth was a French politician and member of the Resistance. He served as a member of the National Assembly from 1958 to 1981, then as a senator representing the Loire department from 1983 to 2001. He is best known for sponsoring the 1967 Neuwirth Law, which legalized oral contraception in France. He also played a role in reforms related to palliative care during his later years.
