A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the prominent figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: Philippe de Rothschild, Baron de Rothschild, was a French winemaker, businessman, writer, and screenwriter, a member of the famous banking dynasty. As the owner of Château Mouton Rothschild, he was one of the first to have his wines labeled under his own name and to collaborate with artists (such as Dalí and Chagall) on his labels. He also pursued a career in literature and film.
