A radio journalist, Pierre Lhoste (1913–1984) asked the public figures he interviewed to provide an autograph accompanied by a drawing of a tree, thus creating a unique record of his interviews. INFORMATION: André Roussin was a French actor, director, and playwright, a major figure in postwar theater. The author of numerous successful comedies, he contributed to the decentralization of French theater and co-directed the Théâtre de la Madeleine (1955–1965). He was elected to the Académie française in 1973. His plays, translated and performed around the world, were brought to life by the greatest actors of his time.
