INK REFLECTIONS – OPUS V: Engravings

, Lithographs, and Posters

Auction closes Sunday, September 13, 2026

Summer invites us to slow down, to see things differently, to take our time—

time to flip through a catalog, to revisit a work, to compare, to hesitate… and then to choose.

For this new installment of Reflets d’Encres, Trianon Enchères accompanies this summer interlude with an auction to discover day by day, almost like a travel journal to explore at your own pace.

Reflets d’Encres – Opus V thus offers a journey through nearly three centuries of artistic creation, from the 18th to the 20th century, bringing together engravings, etchings, lithographs, silkscreen prints, and posters by major figures in the history of art.

From the masters of 18th-century printmaking to the artists who profoundly transformed the visual language in the 19th and 20th centuries, this selection bears witness to the extraordinary richness of the printed image. The line work ranges from precise to free, incisive to experimental; color gradually moves beyond its supporting role to become a substance, a rhythm, and a language in its own right.

Alongside them, artists’ posters remind us just how much the printed image was also one of modernity’s great realms of expression: designed for exhibitions, galleries, museums, or major cultural events, they preserve the spirit and aesthetic of their era.

This summer auction is also an invitation to take your time. Whether from a vacation spot, a terrace, a family home, or simply from home, everyone can leisurely browse the selection, bookmark their favorites, and let their choices mature before placing a bid.

After all, bidding isn’t always a matter of haste: it can begin with a glance, continue with a moment of hesitation, and, a few days later, become a foregone conclusion.

Reflets d’Encres – Opus V thus presents an eclectic panorama of graphic art, bringing together different centuries, schools, and techniques around a shared delight: that of the reproduced image and the joy of discovery.

This sale is designed for both the discerning collector and the art lover seeking to acquire a work by a renowned artist at an estimate that is often more accessible than that of an original painting or drawing.

This summer, take the time to look.

Take the time to choose.

And let yourself be tempted by the auction.
